Stratusphere UX

The challenge

Stratusphere UX is a powerful, long-established product: it collects deep telemetry across an organization’s machines and users and turns it into user-experience scores, diagnostics, and health metrics. But its interface had aged. Years of accumulated features lived inside a dated UI that made a genuinely sophisticated product feel harder to use than it is. Liquidware brought us in to modernize it, with one hard constraint: much of the user base is in government agencies and other change-averse enterprise environments, where a sudden, unfamiliar redesign is a liability, not a feature.

A redesign in stages, not a big bang

So we did not ship a rip-and-replace. We have worked with Liquidware over multiple years to redesign the product piece by piece: reworking individual sections, dashboards, and components to a modern standard, then embedding those pieces back into the existing application so users meet the new design gradually rather than all at once.

It is a deliberately incremental process. New views and widgets roll out as contracts and customers allow, each one lifting a part of the product to the new bar while leaving familiar workflows intact. The redesign is still actively underway today, iterated on release after release.

A system built to be adopted piece by piece

Because the design lands in fragments, consistency does the heavy lifting. We built the redesign as a system: a shared type scale, color, and spacing, plus a growing component library, so a newly modernized dashboard looks and behaves like the ones shipped before it, even when it is dropped into screens that have not been touched yet. Diagnostic tables, utilization cards, trend charts, and UX-score visualizations all draw from the same kit, which is what lets Liquidware keep adopting the new design incrementally without the product ever feeling half-finished.
