The challenge
Health plans hide the one thing that matters: what you’ll pay. Most people pick a plan by the monthly premium, hope for the best, and find out the real cost at the front desk. Peekaboo set out to flip that, ranking plans by what the care you actually need costs across a year, and needed the entire product designed and built.
What we built
We built the entire React application, front to back. Shoppers type the care they need in plain language (“chiropractor,” “therapy,” “bloodwork”), and Peekaboo cross-references every plan in their ZIP against that specific care: real copays, premiums, and estimated annual cost, sorted by what a year actually costs, not by sticker price. PPO and HMO filters, plain-dollar breakdowns, and no “coinsurance after deductible” word soup.
Behind the comparison engine sits a broker pipeline: qualified applicants are routed to vetted broker partners by territory with their intent, ZIP, and service need already captured. The landing page is live now at peekaboo.health, with the product launching in open beta in Virginia in 2026.
Accessible by design
People shopping for health coverage include the people who need it most, so accessibility is built in from the start: semantic structure, keyboard navigation, and visible focus states, with the plan-comparison flows designed to read cleanly with a screen reader as they roll out.
