Who we are

Puttly is developed and published by Neutrino Design LLC, 2200 Kraft Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24060, United States.

Because the app transmits nothing, we do not hold any personal data about you. There is no account to close and no file for us to look up, correct, or export.

What you create in the app

Everything Puttly stores is something you typed or tapped. A saved round contains:

• Player names, up to six per game. This field is free text and defaults to “Player 1,” “Player 2,” and so on. If you type a real name, that name is stored on your device.
• A player emoji and color, chosen from a fixed set.
• A course name, free text.
• The number of holes, the stroke count for each player on each hole, any holes marked as skipped, per-player totals, and the winner.
• The date the round was played.

The player name field is the only place in the app that can hold personal information, and only if you choose to put it there.

Puttly does not ask for and has no way to store an email address, password, username, phone number, date of birth, payment method, or user profile. None of those exist in the app.

What the app does not do

We want to be specific rather than vague here. Puttly contains:

• No network activity of any kind. There are no HTTP requests, no sockets, and no server calls in the app.
• No backend, cloud service, or account system. There is nothing to sync to.
• No analytics, crash reporting, attribution, or advertising software. No Firebase, Sentry, Amplitude, Segment, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, AdMob, or Meta SDK is included in the app.
• No over-the-air update service, so the app makes no connection to Expo or EAS servers while you use it.
• No device or advertising identifiers, no IDFA, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is no tracking to consent to.
• No operating system permission requests at all. Puttly never asks for your location, camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, calendar, or push notifications.
• No calls to third-party font or asset services. Fonts ship inside the app itself.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used under California law.

Where your data is stored

Saved rounds and the round currently in progress are written to your iPhone’s local storage, inside the app’s own sandboxed container. No copy is sent to us or to anyone else.

One thing worth knowing: because the data lives in the app’s container, it is included in iPhone backups, including encrypted iCloud backups if you have those turned on. That backup is handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it.

Sharing a scorecard

The Share button assembles a plain-text scorecard, including player names, the course name, and scores, and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. If the share sheet is unavailable, the text is copied to your clipboard instead.

This only happens when you tap Share. Once you pick a destination such as Messages or Mail, that app takes over and its own privacy policy governs what happens next. We never receive the scorecard.

Third parties

Only two companies are involved in Puttly, and neither receives data from the app:

Apple

Apple distributes Puttly through the App Store and independently collects download, purchase, and aggregate crash and usage information under Apple’s own privacy policy. We see only anonymized, aggregated reports in App Store Connect, and never anything that identifies an individual user.

Expo / EAS

Expo’s build service is used to compile and submit the app. It is a development tool only and is not part of the app you run.

How long data is kept, and how to delete it

Rounds stay on your device until you delete them. There is no expiration.

You can remove data in these ways:

• Swipe left on any round in History or on the Home screen to delete it.
• Open a round’s detail screen and tap the trash icon.
• Delete Puttly from your iPhone, which removes all rounds and any in-progress game along with it.

Puttly does not currently include a single “erase everything” button. Deleting the app is the fastest way to clear all data at once.

Since we never receive your data, there is no deletion request to send us. Removing it from your device removes it completely, except for any copy contained in a device backup you control.

Children’s privacy

Puttly is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app has no registration, no messaging, no advertising, and no data transmission of any kind, so there is nothing for us to collect from a child or from anyone else.

Your privacy rights

Laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, and similar state laws give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data that a company holds about you.

We do not hold any. Puttly’s data lives on your device and under your control, so you can already view, edit, and delete all of it directly in the app. If you have a question about this, write to [show email] and we will respond.

Security

Data stored by Puttly sits inside the app’s sandbox and is protected by your iPhone’s own device encryption and passcode or Face ID. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit to intercept and no server holding your rounds that could be breached.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Puttly adds a feature that changes any of this, such as cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or advertising, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
